This artwork offers a sharp, topical reflection on the changing nature of modern warfare, in which technology pushes the human factor into the background. In this work, this shift in power is powerfully depicted through the dynamics between the elements: the drones dominate the composition and sovereignly follow their own path, the red line symbolizing the danger and bloodshed associated with war, while the soldiers are pushed into the corner as an anonymous, static mass. The striking Pop Art-like use of color with bright yellow, red, and blue lends the work a deceptive vibrancy, further emphasizing the cold, almost clinical automation of the battlefield. Here, the soldier is no longer a protagonist, but a spectator on the sidelines of his own conflict.
